KUCHING: GYH E-Vehicle Sdn Bhd donated 10 electric motorcycles to the Royal Malaysia Police yesterday.
State Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief SAC Shafie Ismail said he hoped more vehicles would be donated to the police for patrols. He said the motorcycles brought in from the peninsula would be used for duties during the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum 2017 here next week.
GYH E-Vehicle Sdn Bhd director Lu Yew Hong said the donation was a means to give back to society and promote cooperation between the police and public. “We believe that electric-powered motorcycles are the future transportation trend and our Malaysian government fully supports green technology development,” said Lu.
Lu said he hoped to promote a ‘green’ transportation concept to the public and environmental protection.
GYH E-Vehicle Sdn Bhd is the main distributor of Yadea electric motorcycles, which are not only environmentally friendly but also economical as they run on batteries without fuel and require less maintenance.
